- "In his recent letter to 'Anglican Journal', the Rev. Derek Perry suggested that those seeking to re-evaluate our church's governance structures are bristling against 'the tyranny of the majority'. I think he'll find his math is off: though sexual minorities have been subject to the tyrannies of various majorities since time immemorial, that is not what happened in the vote on the marriage canon this past summer. When a decision which receives the support of variously 80.9 %, 73.2 %, and 62.3 % across three orders is nevertheless vetoed, well -- strictly speaking, it certainly ain't the majority being tyrannical".
