- Notes
- "There are pros and cons to the story of unwed mothers and their babies ['Taken', May 2014, p. 1]. The baby, in days gone by. was often stigmatized for being illegitimate. The mother, too, was often scorned by society and treated in an unsympathetic manner by family and friends. It was not an easy experience for those of early childbearing age who had little or no resources". "It was never a one-way street. Each case had to be judged on its own merit. .... It was never an easy experience for anyone, including, I may say, the physician". Writer signs himself "M.D."
