- Notes
- "Kate Chapman in her letter 'Worship God, not creation' (Sept. 2014, p. 5) too hastily disparages environmentalists. To worship God mean to dedicate our whole selves, minds included, to caring as Christ did. Science, which informs environmentalists is integral to our health and life. Rejecting science amounts to burying our talent in the ground (Matt. 25:14-18). God's call to be stewards of creation gives us the obligation to service, not just enjoyment of the gift". "We have no faith warrant for expecting God to rescue us from our own folly. We have many opportunities to learn and to acquire wisdom. Pray that we do -- and act in time".
