Notes
Ms. C.J. James is a Volunteer in Mission, from the diocese of Huron, who worked in Haiti. She returned from Haiti in December 1994 and wrote about her time in Haiti from summer to the end of the year with particular mention of the political unrest and economic struggles in the country (gasoline $50 a gallon) before the return of and re-installation of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. She also describes the devastating impact of Tropical Storm Gordon.
