- "A three-part special on the Anglican Church will be broadcast in October [1994] on VISION-TV. The series [entitled "Tomorrow's Anglicans"] is intended to help Anglicans re-examine their faith and their church for today -- and to be entertaining at the same time. Lisa Barry, the series producer, says it will be fast-paced, quirky, and often irreverent: 'We'll take our faith seriously', she notes, 'but we won't take ourselves seriously at all'. The Anglican Video production crew began taping for the series almost a year ago, interviewing Anglicans right across the country about their faith and their hopes and fears for the church. The program will also include dramatic and humorous segments -- for example, says Lisa Barry, 'we may meet the bishop of the Yukon who was reduced to eating his boots, or interview the new Primate elected in the year 2045'. The series will be shown on three successive Wednesday evenings, October 12, 19 and 26 [1994], at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time (or its local equivalent). Each broadcast includes two repeats, one later that evening at 1:00 a.m. (10 p.m. Pacific Time), and one the following day at 11:00 a.m. A brief discussion guide, intended to help parish groups connect the broadcasts with their own faith experiences, will be available from the Resource Centre. The complete series on video-cassette, including the study guide, will be available from the Anglican Book Centre". [Text of entire article.]
