Millman Birthday Dinner

Notes: "The Canadian Church Historical Society celebrated the ninetieth birthday of Dr. Thomas R. Millman with a dinner in the Cody Library, Wycliffe College, Toronto on 27 June 1995. The Primate, Archbishop Peers, and many of Dr. Millman's friends and colleagues from across the country were gathered to mark the occasion. As well, letters of congratulations from the Church in the United States and England, and the resolution of appreciation passed at the 1995 General Synod were read. Among the speakers were the Primate, Dr. Shirley Spragge, past president of the Society, Archdeacon Harry Hilchey, Terry Thompson, General Synod Archivist, and Fred Neal, president of the Society. Dr. Millman responded with delightful reminiscences and penetrating comments" (p. 139). "The Society has marked Dr. Millman's achievement by establishing the Millman Endowment Fund. The income from the fund will assure the future work of the Society and in particular its publishing programme including the 'Journal'" (p. 140).
