Newfoundland : the 'Rock' of Friendship

Notes: Executive Director, John Erb, describes his visit to the province of Newfoundland from17-30 September 2004. In the course of his time he attended the Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador synod which included the consecration of Bishop-elect Cyrus Pitman; met with students at Queens' College, St. Johns's; attended the meeting of the Ecclesiastical Province of Canada synod which elected Bruce Stavert as Metropolitan; visited Camp Killdevil, in Gros Morne National Park and attended the synod of the Diocese of Western Newfoundland. Camp Killdevil "is a camp the AF [Anglican Foundation] supported from its beginning under the late Bishop Robert "Rosie" Seaborn".
