- Missionary Judy Acheson writes about the consecration of the Rt. Rev. Kasima Muno Corneille as the new Bishop of Katanga in the Anglican Church of Congo. The service took place in the cathedral which was "started in 1986 but it is only in the last three years that there has been real progress with half yearly services to raise money for the next work to be done". "We all joined in praying for Bishop Kasima in this difficult task ahead of him. The size of the diocese equals France and is 1/5 of the whole of the DRC [Democratic Republic of Congo]. Bishop Kasima comes from Bukiringi, a very rural small village in the Diocese of Boga to this large industrial city of 3 million ! He comes from an area of insecurity to peace and the opportunity to sleep at night without fear".
