Following many years of devoted and prayerful service, Marjorie Murphy was honoured at the 30 November [2006] Patronal Festival at St. Andrew's House in London to mark her retirement. Marjorie held the banner of mission and evangelism high in Communion for many years and sometimes under extraordinary circumstances. She became director of the department and helped produce numerous reports and documents. She was an important part of the Decade of Evangelism programme with the Rev. Robert Renouf, after faithful service to Canon Martin Mbwana, who died in office. In retirement Marjorie is studying to be a Reader in the Diocese of Rochester. Well done good and faithful servant."
