- Notes
- The author "honorary assistant at St. John's Church, Port Hope, Ont., is a Volunteer in Mission at the Central American country of Belize, where he is priest-in-charge of St. Joseph's Anglican Church in the village of Punta Gorda".
- The author talks about the ups and downs of his pastoral ministry in Punta Gorda. He also mentions the bursary fund set up by the Rev. Paul Guiton of British Columbia, who visited Punta Gorda last summer as a deacon. "As his ordination gift he has asked his congregation to establish a bursary fund so that some disadvantaged girl(s) may continue her education through high school. As in many parts of the world, boys tend to be favoured for higher education especially where there is a cost to attending high school".
