"The Archbishop of York, Dr. David Hope, is pictured with Bartolomew, Archbishop of Cluj in the Romanian Orthodox Church, last week during a nine day pilgrimage [11-18 March 2004] to Romania. Archbishop Bartolomew invited Dr. Hope to join him in the morning Orthodox Liturgy. Archbishop Hope brought greetings from the Church of England. Dr. Hope urged over 70 British pilgrims accompanying him to take a greater interest in the Orthodox interpretation of the Christian life, `not least in the eternal relationship between the things of heaven and earth'."
