A message from the Joint Standing Committee of the Primates and the Anglican Consultative Council

Notes: Members of the Joint Standing Committee of the Primates of the Anglican Communion and the Anglican Consultative Council met in the International Study Centre of Canterbury Cathedral from 1-5 March 2004. The Standing Committee heard reports from staff members, discussed the financial operations of the Communion, and were informed about the initial meeting of the Lambeth Commission. They also reviewed the work of the networks and commission of the Communion and noted that a process was in place for the appointment of a new General Secretary to succeed Canon John Peterson who retires at the end of 2004.
