- The author, retired suffragan bishop of Keewatin and assistant bishop in Calgary, offers a personal remembrance and tribute to retiring primate, Michael Peers. "As a friend and colleague, I have always admired and respected the leadership given to the church by Michael. There are many aspects of his ministry that have touched me in my life as a priest and bishop: His ability to relate to people no matter what their culture .... His leadership in the councils of the church .... His sensitivity to personal issues in one's life". "My prayer is that Michael's experience will not be lost to the Anglican Communion. It will be exciting to see where God takes him in the years ahead. Aboriginal people know that an elder's wisdom must be part of the backbone of a community's life. Michael truly is one our spiritual elders".
