- The new Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, reflects on the miracle of the Incarnation of how Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, could be contained in the body of the Virgin Mary "in little space" as the carol "There is no rose of such virtue" says: "For in this Rose contained was Heaven and earth in little space". The challenge to Christians is put aside their wealth and security, their fear and arrogance in order "to go into the `little space' where we meet God in Jesus Christ". "And when we have set this aside, we find that it is only in the little space that there is room enough for all of us -- forgiven, welcomed, made inheritors of the divine fullness of life and joy that God longs to share with us".
