News : Rome diary : events since the last edition of Centro

Notes: The Director describes five major events in his life and that of the Anglican Centre in Rome from October 2001 to January 2002. In October Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, the Archbishop of Westminster, came to "take possession" of his Rome church, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva just around the corner from the Anglican Centre. In November the Director was himself installed and the new Bishop for the American Convocation consecrated. As well the new Anglican Roman Catholic Commission on Unity and Mission was launched. In January the Director and his wife were granted the honour of a private audience with Pope John Paul II.
