- Notes
- "The diversity of music that is on offer in our churches equals the diversity of tradition that is evident within Anglicanism. To be true to that Anglicanism we must be diverse in how we support our liturgical worship with varying musical styles." "It is time for us to regain a confidence in that which is one of our greatest offerings, Church music. The parish musician is an endangered species. Recently I received an advertisement for the digital musician, where a priest simply plus in an appropriate hymn and there you have it -- hymns for the day. Technology gone too far, absolutely, because musicians, like any other ministers, offer their talent and their abilities to their creator and that must be respected, honoured and valued".
