- Notes
- More than 70 Convocation delegates, clergy and guests gathered together in Nice, France, from 7-9 May 2000 to focus on the direction and implementation of Mission in the Convocation. The Mission 2000 report identified the work of Convocation in three areas: "1. Strengthening our ministry to English-speaking persons in Europe .... 2. Responding to the emerging multicultural identity in Europe and to the interest of persons unattached to other local churches by developing worshipping Anglican communities which use languages indigenous to Europe. 3. Extending our work with such disadvantaged persons as refugees, the poor, and the imprisoned. Six specific mission priorities (from an original list of forty) were identified for consideration, funding and development in the Convocation."
