"`Christmas at Kanuga' is a guest period program which brings together far-flung families, couples and those who are alone. Here they relish what is often called `Christmas as it should be'." This year the program ran from 20-26 December 1999 and its chaplain was the Rt. Rev. Robert Tharp, retired Bishop of East Tennessee. "On 27 December the Christmas community was replaced by a conference for persons in grades 9-12 here for Winterlight XXIV, held yearly since 1976."
