Notes: Description of Bishop Patrick Lee's report to his diocesan synod on the 1998 Lambeth Conference and specifically on the homosexuality debate which he described as "at times ugly, and unseemly" as well as "largely immature and premature". The diocesan synod later passed a resolution of appreciation for the commitment of their bishop, General Synod and Canadian House of Bishops, "in developing their guidelines and for their important work in assisting the Church in its frank dialogue with our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters; and we encourage the Bishop to continue the important work of providing opportunities for dialogue in the area of human sexuality in the diocesan community".
