- In Costa Rica in April 1998 an enormous congregation gathered "for the inauguration of the newest province of the Communion -- The Anglican Church of the Central American Region. One of the highlights of the fesitivities was the election of the Most Rev. Cornelius Wilson, Bishop of Costa Rica, as the new Primate of the 37th Province of the Anglican Communion". Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold and Canon John Peterson attended the ceremonies. Includes "A brief history of the Province".
- The new province includes the dioceses of Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador.
