MISSIO : Focus on Mission and Evangelism

Notes: MISSIO, the new Mission Commission of the Anglican Communion which replaces MISAG, held its first meeting at the Metropolitan YMCA, in Singapore, 3-11 November 1994. MISSIO is a permanent mission and missiological think tank for the world-wide Communion and also serves as a support group for the Rev. Canon Dr. Cyril Okorocha, the Director for Mission and Evangelism. MISSIO also considered various conferences planned for the future including: G-CODE: 2000 Global Conference at Kanuga in September 1995, the emergence of the South to South movement, Movement for Mission Conference (Brisbane II) in 1999 and Celebration 2000.
