- Court decision re case of Salvation Army Colin Lewery who, after his wife left him, was required to give up his officership. "Historically, The Salvation Army worldwide has required that where one member of a married couple wishes to become an officer (clergy) both must be prepared to do so." Mr. Lewery sued for unlawful dismissal but the court found against him.
