- Text of motion
- That the Council of General Synod forward as separate resolutions 2, 3, and 5 (Doc. 045-04-07-03 Revision #2) to General Synod.
- - 2. That resolutions 3 and 4 below be deemed not to have been carried unless they receive the affirmative votes of sixty percent of the members of each Order present and voting, and if a vote by diocese is requested, unless they receive the affirmative votes of sixty percent of the dioceses whose votes are counted.
- - 3. That this General Synod resolves that the blessing of same-sex unions is consistent with the core doctrine of the Anglican Church of Canada.
- - 5. That this General Synod requests the Council of General Synod to initiate work to revise Canon 21 (On Marriage) to allow marriage of all legally qualified persons and to present a revised canon for first reading at the next General Synod 2010.
- Note re #2: Resolution #4 is the deferred resolution from General Synod 2004.

- That this General Synod affirm the authority and jurisdiction of any diocesan synod, with the concurrence of its bishop, to authorize the blessing of same-sex unions.
