Prologue: That this Council notes the Council of the North policy on remuneration, “that the minimum stipend for clerical members within the Council of the North dioceses be adjusted by the May-over-May C.P.I [Consumer Price Index] for Canada as set out by Stats Canada” and since that figure for 2006 is 2.8% therefore the 2007 Council minimum stipend will be $28,402 effective January 1, 2007, and further, that the Policy be reviewed at General Synod 2007.; Friendly amendment; The mover and seconder agreed to strike the words "and further, that the Policy be reviewed at General Synod 2007". from the motion.; The motion now reads:
