- That this Council of General Synod accept Recommendation B 1 on "Discernment for the Episcopate" from the Interim Report and Recommendations of the Consultation for Discernment for Ordained Ministry, including the revisions proposed by the House of Bishops, and request the House of Bishops to implement this recommendation"

- That the wording "and sent to the appropriate Diocesan Executive Council when an episcopal election is forthcoming" be deleted in item B 1 of the House of Bishops proposed revisions. CARRIED

- Recognizing that the exercise of the work and office of the bishop is increasingly complex and that less is known about this ministry than either the priesthood or diaconal ministry, we recommend that THE CURRENT national GUIDELINES for the selection and screening of nominations for the office of bishop BE REVISITED/UPDATED BY THE HOUSE OF BISHOPS.
