- Your Committee appointed to consider the resolution of the National Commission on organization of laymen, begs leave to report as follows:
- 1. That the Executive Council be asked to take steps at the earliest possible moment to give effect to the resolution passed by this Synod regarding an organization of laymen (Section XIII, sub. sec. 3, Report of the National Commission).
- 2. That a Committee of Laymen representing every Diocese with an executive of eight members be appointed to consider the entire subject and make to the Executive Council such recommendations as it deems wise, and that in each Diocese the Bishop be asked to name the representative of such Diocese on the above Committee and that for the purpose of the preliminary organization, the representative from the Diocese of Montreal, Ottawa, Ontario, Toronto, Niagara, Huron, Algoma, and Moosonee, be the Executive Committee.
