- 27. Temporary and Special Grants
- (1) Subject to the provisions of section 17, any Bishop or Clergyman who, under the terms of this Part is qualified to rank [sic] upon the Fund, and who shall satisfy the Board that he is unfit for active duty may be placed as a temporary beneficiary on the Fund for a period not to exceed twelve months (which period may be extended), and at the same rate at which he would at the time of such temporary unfitness be entitled to be pensioned under the terms of this Part.
- (2) Subject to the provisions of section 17, the Board may, in special cases of need, make a grant to any Bishop or Clergyman, whether otherwise qualified or not, who is temporarily disabled, provided that such grant shall not exceed $400.00 in any year.

- In subsections (1) and (2) delete the words, "Subject to the provisions of section 17"; in subsection (1) in the third line before the word "unfit" insert the word "temporarily"; and in the fourth line delete the word "temporary." ADOPTED by both Houses.
