- A French version of the Book of Common Prayer to meet the needs of French-speaking Anglicans in Canada has been published by a committee of the Anglican Church of Canada under the chairmanship of Rt. Rev. R.L. Seaborn, Bishop of Newfoundland.
- Five thousand copies of the book, bearing the title, "Le Recueil des Prieres de la Communaute Chretienne" have been printed. The translation is the work of Rev. Prof. J.C. Kirby of Montreal Diocesan Theological College and J.H. Bieler, former deputy minister of finance for the province of Quebec. They received the active collaboration of a number of noted French-Canadian scholars.
- The book, produced in a hard-bound edition by Ryerson Press, Toronto, has been about five years in preparation.
- Translation of the Prayer Book into Japanese, largely for Japanese-speaking Canadians on the West Coast, now has been completed and production is expected to be started shortly.
