- Whereas work with Indian people in many areas involves relationships with natural communities of people; and
- Whereas both Federal and Provincial Governments are increasingly adopting a community development approach in working with Indian people; therefore
- Be It Resolved that the Inter-departmental Committee on Indian and Eskimo Affairs be empowered to undertake one or more pilot projects, to the extent of the money available, in an attempt to discover more effective ways of working with Indian and partly Indian Communities within the context of Community Development philosophy. CARRIED in both Houses.
