- That, having considered certain requests of the General Commission on Church Union, made at its meeting held May 27-29, 1968, that the Anglican Church and the United Church enter into various programmes of co-operation, and having in mind the advice of the Joint Meeting of the Executive of General Council and the National Executive Council of General Synod, that such proposals for common action be such as are appropriate, helpful and possible at each stage of our growing together.
- This General Synod expresses its agreement that some forms of co-operation are permissible as the two churches grow together, and refers the specific proposals of the General Commission to the committees concerned, with power to act as far as the Constitution and Canons of General Synod allow.
