- RESOLVED That, due to the rapidly changing development of the economy of the country, this Synod requests the Pension Board, together with any representatives of Industry and Finance that they may wish to co-opt to review the Pension Plan of the Anglican Church of Canada and to bring in recommendations:
- A. As to the membership of the Board and method of appointment.
- B. To discover the intention or otherwise, of the non-member Dioceses joining the Pension Plan of the General Synod.
- C. To find how best to augment the Pension needs, of the men and women presently on Pension, as a result of the "new economy" in which we are enveloped.
- D. To recommend any steps to be taken that they believe may lead to the right development of the Pension Plan of the Church.
- E. That the Pension Board shall report to the Executive Council of General Synod who shall have power to take necessary action. (See later action.) CARRIED in both Houses.

- An amendment to Paragraph One of the motion of Ven. R.D. Mess and F.L. Hallett, was moved by Very Rev. J.A. Watton, seconded by Ven. G.A. Young,
- That due to the rapidly changing development of the economy of the country, this Synod requests the Primate to set up an independent Commission to review the whole Pension Plan or system of the Anglican Church of Canada. Carried in both Houses.
- The original motion by Archbishop Mess, as amended, was then put to the Synod and Carried in both houses.
