- Scope and Content
- Photo consists of a plane resting on the water. At the time that the photograph was taken, airplanes had begun to be used in exploration work by mining companies. At Churchill, they refueled and then headed onward to Baker Lake and other points in the Northern Barren Lands where minerals had been discovered. Planes also came to the rescue of missionaries in need of medical help.
