- Advertisement for Planned Giving section of the Anglican Church of Canada Resources for Mission Dept. Story of James, a retired layman, active as a volunteer serving his parish as a warden. "James visited a lawyer friend recently and revised his will. In addition to providing bequests for his grandchildren's education, he has decided to name his parish as a beneficiary as well. In fact, he has decided to provide a tithe, or ten percent, of his estate to his parish church, continuing what he practices every Sunday as a committed tither. He has encouraged his friends to do the same". For more information about gift planning, and the various ways of making a gift for the work of God, please contact: Archdeacon John M. Robertson, Senior Gift Planning Officer, Resources for Mission, General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada".
