- "The Canadian Church Historical Society is pleased to announce the winner of the first Millman Prize Essay contest is Sean Mills of McGill University for this essay '"Preach the World': Canadian Imperialism and Missionary Outreach at the Montreal Diocesan Theological College, 1892-1903". The Society hopes to be able to publish the essay in a forthcoming number of the Journal. The contest received submissions from students at four universities and their essays dealt with a wide variety of topics including Presbyterian medical missionaries in Korea, higher biblical criticism in Canadian Methodism and the Mennonite Brethren. To all those who submitted essays, the Society extends its thanks and best wishes for their future work in Canadian church history. A new Millman Prize Essay contest will be announced in the 2001 numbers of the 'Journal'."
