- Advertisement for Planned Giving section of the Anglican Church of Canada Dept. of Philanthropy. James, a retired warden, has visited a lawyers to revise his will. "In addition to providing bequests for his grandchildren's education, he has decided to name his parish as a beneficiary as well. In fact, he has decided to provide a tithe, or temperament, of his estate to his parish church, continuing what he practises every Sunday as a committed tither. .... James recently heard a gift planner quote St. Catherine of Sienna's thoughtful remark -- 'Consider your possessions loaned to you by God' -- and realised that in thanksgiving to God, he really should do something about this advice".
