- "Anglican and Roman Catholic bishops in Canada have approved guidelines to govern movement of clergy from one denomination to the other. The guidelines say the decision by clergy to change denominations should be considered a pastoral matter. They recognize that such movement occurs both ways". "The guidelines note that clergy movement from one church to another should not be an occasion for 'triumphalism', nor should it be 'disruptive of our growing ecumenical relationship'."
