- Notes
- Two interviews concerning the [Anglican] Church of Nigeria. Siphiwe Sithole conducted the first interview with George Carey, Archbishop of Canterbury. Dr. Carey "has expressed hope that both government and religious leaders in Nigeria will work for better relations between Christians and Muslims. This sentiment came following his two-week visit, in February 2001, to the home of 15 million Anglicans in a country of 118 million people".
- Anglican World editor, Canon James Rosenthal, interviewed Archbishop Peter Akinole, Primate of Nigeria, on 1 March 2001, just before the 2001 Primates' Meeting in Kanuga. The Archbishop spoke about a number of challenges facing the Church of Nigeria including: "the modern day emphasis on a prosperity gospel ... interfaith and what we can do together with other Christian people in the context of our nation ... [and] the potential the Church could reap from our youth".
