- Notes
- "Reading Archbishop Desmond Tutu's 'An African Prayer Book' was a marvellous learning and refreshing experience." "The compositions are drawn from both African traditional and Christian spirituality and the composers are both black and white. The collection includes the works of Africans of the diaspora in the United States and the West Indies. The prayers are arranged into five sections consisting of Adoration, Contrition, thanksgiving, Supplication and Daily Life. The last section includes prayers that do not fall neatly in the other secions. Each section is preceded by an introduction."
