The Rt. Rev. S.L. Alexander, Bishop of Peshawar, North West Province, in Pakistan was abducted during the weekend of 30/31 January 1993. During the week of 1-7 February the Bishop was released unharmed by his captors without the demanded 6.5 million rupees being paid.
