The Canadian Ecclesiastical Gazette published information relating to the Diocese of Quebec and Montreal 1850-1853. In 1854 it broadened its scope to include the Diocese Toronto and Huron and was published in Toronto by Henry Rowsell.

The Echo and Protestant Episcopal Recorder was published in Port Hope, Ont., 1851 to 1854. The Rev. Thomas Seller moved publication to Toronto, 1855 to 1860, and then to Montreal, 1861 to 1867
This was an evangelical Church of England paper founded in opposition to The Church, which it accused of Tractarianism and Romanism. It was violently antagonistic to the Roman Catholic Church." Firth 46
