Biographical Sketch
Preceded by Monthly Letter Leaflet, the Letter Leaflet was established November 1888 and ran until October 1922. The Monthly Letter Leaflet was the newsletter of the Church of England's Woman's Auxiliary to Missions. It was renamed The Letter Leaflet when the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society was formed and ran under that title from Feb. 1893 until December 1922. It was followed by the Living Message, 1923 to May 1986, and then the Anglican Magazine, Jan. 1987-Dec. 1991. Volume numbering was continuous.

Biographical Sketch
The Rev. Thomas Henry Canham studied at the Church Missionary Society College at Islington, England and was ordained priest in 1880. He served at Portage La Prairie, Manitoba (1881-1882), St. Matthews Mission, Peel River, McKenzie River, N.W.T. (1882-1887), St. James Mission, Lower Yukon River (1888-1892), Tukudh Mission (1888-1891), St. Andrew, Selkirk, Yukon (1892-1910), St. Saviour, Carcross, Yukon (1910-1922), and Archdeacon of the Yukon (1892-1924). His English-Wood Indian vocabulary was published by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (S.P.C.K) in 1898. His work in the north was shared by his wife, Charlotte Sarah French Canham (m. 1886).

Rector of Whitehorse, 1918-1921. Archdeacon of Mackenzie River in 1916. Translated portions of the New Testament into Eskimo.

Biographical Sketch
The Rev. W.H. (William Henry) Cooper (1814-1892) was born in Plymouth, Devonshire, England and came to Canada 1816 with his family. They lived in Nova Scotia. As a young man he tried many trades and travelled abroad returning to Nova Scotia a married man. He studied at King's College, Windsor, NS and was ordained deacon 1845 and priest 1846. He was priest at Port Hill, PEI, 1846-1853; then he moved to the United States. He died in Chicago, July 4, 1892.

Microfilm consists of manuscript entitled, Reminiscences of three score years (An Autobiography) of the Rev. W.H. Cooper who lived in Nova Scotia and PEI.

Walter Robert Adams (1877-1957) was born, educated and ordained in England. He served in Canada in Saskatchewan from 1907-1914 and returned to England. He came back to Canada when he was elected Bishop of Cariboo in 1925.
