- That this House of Bishops supports the position taken by the Doctrine and Worship Committee regarding the use of generic language in the Baptism Formula in the Book of Alternative Services. CARRIED #3-9-85

- N.B. "Generic language" presumably means the formula "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen". Inclusive language is not to be used with respect to the Trinity. Clarification provided by Liturgical Office -- 26 Oct. 1993]

- The third in a series of theological workbooks from the Primate's Theological Commission which was established in 1995. The Commission is composed of ten persons and chaired by Bishop Victoria Matthews.
- This third book in the series by the Primate's Theological Commission looks at a number of issues currently being debated in the Anglican Church of Canada. "There is the Residential Schools settlement; the question of same-sex unions; cloning; war with Iraq; the threat of terrorism; and the likelihood of a new pandemic even before we are able to cure HIV/AIDS.
