Scope and Content
Photo consists of four white people and four First Nations men in two canoes. The First Nations men are Louis and Robert MacGillivray, Henry Wilson and Henry Bloomfield.
Besides Archdeacon MacKay, the other white people are incorrectly identified. See below. Miss Kate E. Halson is travelling in Archdeacon Mackay's canoe. Canon and Mrs. E.K. Matheson are in the other canoe.
Notes
Same photo as P7565-126, but people identified as Mrs. Matheson, the Rev. Canon E.K Matheson, Archdeacon J.A. Mackay, and Miss Halson. The photograph has been published using these names and verified in W.A. Letter Leaflet that the Dorcas Secretary-Treasurer, Miss Kate E. Halson did make the trip from The Pas, MB to Lac La Ronge, SK by canoe in 1920.
