- Administrative History
- Annie Edgar (1891-1984) was a missionary nurse in Palampur, Punjab, India for twenty-five years, during WWII, for which she became a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army of the 63rd India General Hospital. Miss Edgar worked for the MSCC visiting Indian Residential Schools during 1946-1947 and helped write at report on the residential schools in 1950. She was principal of the Anglican Women's Training College, 1947-1955.
- Scope and Content
- Fonds consists of letters from Annie Edgar during her work overseas in India. An article about the Mission at Palampur. Two pictures of Indian children. Newspaper clippings about WWII. An address by Edgar at a monthly board meeting of the W.A. concerning her work in India. Includes a letter from a teacher in Fort Franklin, NWT.
