- "Bishop Gregory Kerr-Wilson of the diocese of Qu'Appelle has been elected the new bishop for the diocese of Calgary. He will be installed Sept. 29 [2012] at Calgary's Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, and succeeds Bishop Derek Hoskin, who has retired. The election took place June 15 [2012] at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Calgary. In all, five candidates were considered for the position. Bishop Kerr-Wilson describes himself as an 'evangelical, charismatic Catholic with liberal and conservative tendencies'. He is focused on local leadership 'rather than simply thinking about survival', he says. 'The church's capital is its people and their faith'." [Text of entire article.]

- The Working Document: A Plan of Anglican Work in Support of a New Partnership between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Anglicans "A New Agape", (Appendix A) was presented by Mrs. Verna Firth, Ms. Donna Bomberry, Mrs. Grace Delaney, Dr. Susan Moxley, Dr. Eleanor Johnson and Archdeacon Jim Boyles. It was noted that ACIP, after lengthy discussion, had removed the word "reconciliation" from the title, preferring at this time "a walking in partnership". Dr. Eleanor Johnson stressed that the "New Agape" is a working (or planning) document to be changed and added to - not a final work.

- "After serving for five years as head of the Anglican diocese of Calgary, Bishop Derek Hoskin, announced his retirement effective Dec. 31 [2011]. Bishop Hoskin was elected in 2006 as the eighth bishop of the diocese of Calgary, which includes 20,000 Anglicans in 92 congregations in the southern part of Alberta. In a pastoral letter issued to members of his diocese, Bishop Hoskin said he decided to retire because 2012 marks the 40th year of his ministry in the Anglican Church of Canada". - Ms. Cynthia Haines Turner and Dean Nicholas Parker presented the report of the Mission Coordination Group noting that `The New Agape' and anti-racism had been added to its mandate for the triennium.
- Dr. Ellie Johnson and Ms. Donna Bomberry outlined the Binder Project. The concept is to collect materials, translate (if necessary) and assemble it into binders, which would be made available to dioceses and to those within networks to ensure as wide a distribution as possible. In loose-leaf form, the material could be easily updated on an ongoing basis and would be readily accessible to the many indigenous communities that do not have access to email and databases.
