In October of 1987 there will be a special event in the Diocese of Nova Scotia marking the 200th Anniversary of the Anglican Episcopate in Canada.
An invitation has been extended to the House of Bishops to meet from October 13 - 18, 1987 and the National Executive Council to meet from October 19 - 21, 1987 in Halifax.

That this National Executive Council agrees with the invitation from the Diocese of Nova Scotia and refers it to the first meeting of the 1986-1989 National Executive Council. CARRIED
The diocese of Nova Scotia has launched an education program, Education for Ministry, in several centres in the diocese. Participants work through a four-year program.
Nova Scotia's diocesan synod has formally approved an experimental corporate structure for the diocese which has been in place provisionally since 1991.
Bishop Arthur Peters of Nova Scotia has given final approval for the restoration of historic St. George's Church. The church was burned on 2 June 1994. Donations may be sent to: St. George's Restoration, 1161 South Park Street, Halifax, N.S., B3H2W9.
The diocese of Nova Scotia's synod office is developing a communications strategy to change the way information is shared between the office and members of the diocesan family.
"The Dartmouth Anglican refugee committee in the diocese of Nova Scotia has received confirmation that the family of refugees it is sponsoring will arrive in Canada in March 1992. So far the committee has raised $14,000 to help sponsor the family for a year as required by law."
