Prologue
The General Secretary reported that the final meeting of the Committee on Union and Joint Mission was held in January, 1976. Prior to that The United Church of Canada, acting on the information from the November NEC meeting agreed to the disbanding of CUJM. A complete set of records have been given to The United Church of Canada, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Anglican Church of Canada, which will be kept for future reference. The Inter-Church Relations Committee has suggested that a joint task force be established with the three churches, but this has not yet been established.

Prologue
The Bishop of Georgian Bay drew attention to the fact that there is only one copy of the minutes of the House for the major period of its existence. The first book of minutes covers the period 1904 to 1942; the second book covers from 1943 to 1963. These minutes ought to be protected against loss by any mishap and their preservation ensured.
