Archdeacon Hobson presented a memorial to the National Executive Council concerning the Kelley Papers which have been written on the early history of the Anglican Church of Canada, with the recommendation that a unit or commission be established to write an official history of the Anglican Church of Canada, investigating the possibility of editing and printing the Kelley Papers as the first volume of that history.

That the Primate be asked to establish a Commission to study the feasibility of producing a history of the Anglican Church of Canada, and in this respect to consider the Kelley Papers as the basis for volume one of such a project. CARRIED
That the National Executive Task Force on Publications and Distribution Policy be: Rev. Canon Gordon Baker, Very Rev. David Carter, Rev. Michael Lloyd, Rev. Jim Boyles, Ven. Ted Rigby. CARRIED
That this General Synod request the Faith, Worship and Ministry Committee in the next triennium to prepare resources for the church to use in addressing issues relating to human sexuality, including the blessing of same sex unions and the changing definition of marriage in society.
That this Lower House having concurred unanimously in the statement sent down by the Upper House, respectfully request that after a full and frank discussion of the proposed exchange of ministries with the United Church by the Bishops to be assembled at Lambeth in 1948, the House of Bishops of our Canadian Church prepare and publish in pamphlet form as quickly as possible a statement of the result of such discussion, to guide our clergy and laity in their studies of the proposals previous to the General Synod of 1949. THAT this General Synod direct the Doctrine and Worship Committee to publish, after due consultation with the House of Bishops, such documents as may be considered useful and necessary for study and comment in the course of the Committee's discharge of its mandate from this Synod.
