- That the Council of General Synod pilot test this triennium (2007-2010) an additional sessional committee called the Staff Resources Committee which, similar to the Expenditures Committee, would be required to comment on all resolutions in terms of their impact on staff and volunteer capacity to undertake the work involved; such a Committee would be led by the General Secretary and would include the Director of the area involved and one member of the Council of General Synod.
- Friendly Amendment
- The mover and seconder agreed to delete the word “pilot” from the resolution.
- The amended resolution reads:
- That the Council of General Synod test this triennium (2007-2010) an additional sessional committee called the Staff Resources Committee which, similar to the Expenditures Committee, would be required to comment on all resolutions in terms of their impact on staff and volunteer capacity to undertake the work involved; such a Committee would be led by the General Secretary and would include the Director of the area involved and one member of the Council of General Synod.
