"June 1980".
"When the Eastern Task Force of the Long Range Planning Committee undertook to address the question of spirituality it was soon realized that there was little data available on the level of spirituality of Canadian Anglicans. In the belief that such information could be valuable to the church, the task force commissioned a survey of Anglicans from coast to coast to gather information about Anglican religious practices and their implications. The survey was carried out through Dr. Andrew Harvey and Ron Smith, M.A. of Dalhousie University, Institute of Public Affairs with the assistance of Dymaxion Research Limited of Halifax. A questionnaire was devised which drew on previous work. The questionnaire covered a wide range of topics related to religious practices and attitudes. It was sent by mail to some 220 subscribers of the Canadian Churchman representing 231,970 households. There were 1362 responses. This high level of response has produced much interesting and useful information, all of which, because of its volume cannot be included, However the complete data set has been computerized to facilitate in depth analysis and can be made available for research purposes". -- Intro.
